Taking care of bigger business

A good day for taking care of biz, with the Moon in Virgo. Virgo energy focuses on details, learning, lessons and getting it right.
Deal with it and do good with it.
I am hankering for an office renovation. With no money and little space, goodness knows I will have to be resourceful. I wonder what I will do.
Last night, as I drifted off to sleep, I asked in a very Buddhist way, to connect to abundance and the root of abundance. Not to be too fussed with the nuts and bolts but to ask for the overarching theme.
It is nice. It makes you less stressed, trying to bend the will of the world to go your way. Instead let the flow come your way and do not put perimeters on the way you receive the bounty in whatever ways they come.
Connect to the source and ask in a more Buddhist way today.
May I connect to abundance and the root of abundance
May I release my self from suffering and the root of financial suffering.
Ask for others you love also.
May Blessed and Ram Beau connect to joy and the root of joy.
May Fishgirl connect to literary inspiration and the root of literary inspiration.
May The Piscean Princess connect to goodness and the root of all goodness.
May the Grecian Goddess connect to love and the root of love.
May my readers connect to spirit and the root of spirit.
Later.
Reverse
Fish Girl and I shared lunch and thoughts yesterday.
We talked about her early learning of that which cannot be reversed.
We all learn at some moment in our life that here are things that happen or are said that you cannot reverse.
For some it happens too young. The death of a loved one. An accident that changes everything. I pondered on this subject this morning and I thought of people I know who learned this lesson too early. People who have grown with the legacy of 'final' in their hearts forever.
I know some folks who have not yet been introduced to this harsh and heavy realisation. It is coming. It comes for all of us. Noone is exempt.
I learned mine at 18. I have a friend who learned hers at 6. Another friend at 7. My daughter learned hers at 3.
It is an important lesson though. One which you cannot avoid so accept it is coming if it is not yet come for you. There are somethings that you cannot take back, cannot change and cannot undo.
I know there is not a thing I could have done differently for my lesson. Except maybe spent a few minutes longer on the phone that night the last time I spoke to her. Told her I loved her, what an amazing friend she was. How there were few others that accepted and loved me, foibles and all.
But I didn't know those words to tell till after she was gone. In learning the lesson, I understood her importance in my life. How her decision would shape my path and sit quietly in my heart forever. There is not really a week that she doesn't pop in my head. Most days she comes back to remind me, tell me off, comfort me and love me.
But I cannot reverse it.
It cannot be undone.
Now the lesson is to accept.
Spin the wheel

This is the Tibetan Prayer or Mani Wheel that Gandalf bought me as present for finishing my book. Made by H.H Dali Lama's Charitable Trust in Tibet, inside are rolls of thin paper that have the mantra or prayer of Om Mani Padme Hum printed on it in Tibetan or Indian script. These are wound around an axle and then housed in the protective container.
Always to be spun clockwise, so the prayer follows the direction of the sun, they invoke the spirit of the the Bodhisattva of Compassion, Chenrezig. Almost as popular a fellow as Buddha himself. Chenrezig live in all of us and we connect with him when we love another person animals or any part of nature.
Om Mani Padme Hum is a hard phrase to translate. It is said to house all the teachings of Buddha in this one sentence. The best interpretation is this from the 14th Dali Lama himself.
- "It is very good to recite the mantra Om mani padme hum, but while you are doing it, you should be thinking on its meaning, for the meaning of the six syllables is great and vast... The first, Om [...] symbolize the practitioner's impure body, speech, and mind; they also symbolize the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha[...]"
- "The path is indicated by the next four syllables. Mani, meaning jewel, symbolizes the factors of method: (the) altruistic intention to become enlightened, compassion, and love.[...]"
- "The two syllables, padme, meaning lotus, symbolize wisdom[...]"
- "Purity must be achieved by an indivisible unity of method and wisdom, symbolized by the final syllable hum, which indicates indivisibility[...]"
- "Thus the six syllables, om mani padme hum, mean that in dependence on the practice of a path which is an indivisible union of method and wisdom, you can transform your impure body, speech, and mind into the pure exalted body, speech, and mind of a Buddha[...]"
Whilst not a Buddhist, I feel blessed and connected to have the Mani wheel in my home. To learn and understand what is is and why it is important, is a gift in itself.
Thanks Gandalf.
