Mondays musings

Under the misteltoe pump at the moment. Always nice to have a purpose though. It is worse with nothing to do. The smallest changeling reminded me this morning that although we are all tired, "no one is more tired than Father Christmas." He is right of course. That small part of us, the Father Christmas in all of us, is weary. It is hard to give when we have been giving all year.

I spoke to two friends who lost loved ones over the weekend. Christmas is bleak for some, who decided it is all too much and checked out early. My heart breaks for them and anyone else who has lost loved ones at Christmas time.

Love and light my darlings.

love and light is what we all need, all the time, but especially at this supposedly joyous time of the year. I so dislike the ugly commercialism of Christmas and the pressure it puts on so many people. Giving of self is often the hardest thing for people to do but in the end it is the most satisfying and rewarding. My very best friend held a dinner party for my birthday on the weekend and the love and effort that went into it has made my heart sing. I will treasure the memory of the laughs and fantastic conversation with wonderful food more than any gift.

if we could all get back to basics and ground ourselves the world would be a happier place. i think i might just give people a pot of soil and some seeds and encourage them to get their hands back in the soil!

Namaste
