Start as you mean to finish

I have started the year as I mean to finish. Organised. Rested (somewhat). Hopeful. Last year was a rough passage for many of us and this year promises to be arduous in the least. The best way to navigate through these uncertain times is to have a bloody good map.

I have a list of professional and personal goals and things to do. I did this one year and I believe it was my best year ever. I am going to do it again and see what comes. This from the girl that once said that organised people are boring people!

I wonder if my lack of clarity last year contributed to some of the anxiety. I was focussed on small details and not the larger ones. I look forward to this year. i know the state of play and I know the new set of rules. I always seem to get back to sport metatphors, which is lame as I am incredibly unsporty.

I am going to meditate on the bigger picture for this year and use the lists and plans to support them. So mote it be.
