Full Fire Moon and Eclipse

The Full Moon in Leo and the lunar eclipse bought its wrath upon Victoria, where I live, and wrecked havoc upon home after home. 108 people dead and 700 homes lost and this is only 48 after the fires. More lives will be lost and the devastation will be felt for a generation.

The lunar eclipse equals high emotions around endings, beginnings, major changes and is a time of beginnings, endings, exposure and major changes. It is disorientating and also enlightening. Combined with a Full Moon in the fire sign of Leo, the skies knew what sort of hell they were bringing.

The lunar eclipse energy stays for at least 3 days post. So expect more bad news and sadness. Lunar eclipses do though, allow us to unite and rise the the challenge. This weekends eclipse, and the Full Phase (Sun and Moon in opposition) links the soul and our relationships and their purpose in our life. It is a time to not let the material viewpoint stand in the way of use “seeing the light”.

Come out of the dark and see what we do have. For those who sit safely in Melbourne, it is easy to feel distant compassion and wonder how we would cope in such apocalyptic moments. I don’t think we can truly understand, except to do what can from the city, give blood, send material aid, give money if we are able and hold our loved ones a little closer.

Love, light and healing to those in need.

I think the best thing we can all do now is join together and send light, love & healing en masse. The grief I feel is intense and the despair that those directly affected are feeling must be immeasurable. It is always difficult at this early stage to feel positive for the future but for those who still have their lives and families they can re build their lives.

I can't help but feel that Mother Nature is sending us some very clear messages that she is not happy and is in fact ailing. We MUST change our behaviour in regards to how we lead our lives to lessen the impact on the environment. The drought we have been experiencing has to have some relation to global warming and the changes in our weather.

I just don't understand why it has to take such a catastrophic disaster to create change but maybe that is just the nature of human beings.

Send love and lots of it for now and when the time comes do what we can in our own ways to be of assistance.
