Have you ever?

Have you ever experienced great unrequited love? Love that can go on for a life time. Knowing there is no way out and no way ahead. Have you gone though your day, living your life, but knowing there is another life waiting for you to live it, if they loved you.

The slightly sick feeling you get when you think of them. When you see them you try not to look at them too much but this is the biggest giveaway. When news comes you want to ring them first but that would surely give the game away.

Songs that were written about your love, paintings that were painted about your love, stories that were written with you and him as the character. Except no one knows but you.

You know that they are the one for you, that you can fix all the sadness and fears. You can turn them into the best version of themselves. They will be and do anything with you. You are their muse and their panacea. You are the answer. You are the future. You are destiny. But they don't know. If they do they don't feel it.

So you get up and breathe through another day. Wishing the love would be returned. Stop. Wait, Change the wish. Polish the lamp and blow on the dice. Ask instead for the love to be gone. For the heart to stop wanting. This is the remedy and the curse. What are you then without this love?

This is very Practical Magic. Remember when the woman comes in, wishing for the man to fall in love with her? It ends up making her very sick, she can't sleep etc. Your remedy is a good one.
