Thursday ramblings

My fave man is on Twitter and so now I follow him. I have had a crush on him for too long. Now he gives me a little thought for me to hang my heart onto throughout the day. I have closed down my Facebook and have settled for Twitter. I am happier. Facebook was feeling fraudy. So many people on there I am not friends with. Too many passive aggressive status updates, I had some good times but now it is over.

Twitter is faster and funnier. I like to connect to people and I like to laugh. Twitter allows me to do both. Interestingly only a few of my tech savvy friends are on there. Most of my friends are slow on the techy uptake. Age, maybe? Not sure. My Mars in in Aquarius in the 7th house. My North Node is in Aquarius. I embrace technology and all it offers.

We are going through more than a global economic crisis. We are going through a fundamental change to society. What once mattered no longer is relevant. Cars, the news, global companies taking over the world. The connection through the net allows us to get to anywhere we want, we find out own news from trust worthy sources and we hold companies responsible for fair trade and to be accountable.

Wall Street, arrogant CEO's with MBA's that mean jackshit when it comes to being a stand up, shirt sleeves rolled up kind of a guy and greedy banks selling bad debt and poisoned dreams.

This chaos is not comfortable for anyone in business. I have felt it and most of the people I know in business have felt it but I am optimistic for the future. It is the change we needed to have. Financial boundaries support us and protect us.

It is impossible to keep living the same way in these times. This is where you get into strife, doing the same thing in extraordinary times. It is pure arrogance to not try to contract and bunker down.

The laws of nature have taught us that the species that survives is the one who adapt to the change the best. They find new food sources, try new things, make their nest from new materials. I was slow on the uptake for this but I am on it now. Man, am I on it!

101 Things to do with mincemeat is my recipe book this year. Throw out the duck and swordfish. We are overfishing anyway and duck gives you a heart attack.

Be responsible, be present and be good.

Later.

I'm with ya honey ..... My dear old Dad (long since passed) told me that during the Depression, when he was a child, he used to eat Nasturtiums (which are I belive actually a flower?) anyway he used to eat them for lunch on bread and butter. Man, now that makes mince-meat look like Scotch Fillet !! As kids, my Mum always made us bring our brown paper lunch bags home each day to be re-used the next day... it was just part of normal life (my life anyway) ... The times are sooooo changing, and I know in my soul that this is and will be a wonderful thing, we need to change and I agree, those who adapt survive - it's nature's rule ....... But the Flower Drum just wont be the same with Peking Mince-meat !! Quack ! xx
