Karmic Moon

It's a balsamic moon today. I was born on a balsamic moon. Most of my close friends and husband were born on a balsamic moon. We were born wtih a mission, something bigger than just ourselves that we must carry out. I call these friends, my Balsamic Comrades. It ain’t an easy placement.

Traditionally, it is supposed to be a day of healing and rest. Not so easy for all of us working and rushing around. Although, it is said that wishes made in a Balsamic moon phase are more likely to come true, as the needs are felt at a soulful level. Although it will take a full moon cycle for these wishes to take seed and sprout. Trust and think deeply before you make your wish. Then let it go for Mother Earth to do her work.

The balsamic moon phase is all dark before the dawn stuff. It is, in pagan terms, called the Crones Moon. The wisdom that comes with understanding your challenges and shortcomings.

Think philosophically and not personally about the recent events. Your understanding helps you move towards the new cycle. Think how far you have come and not how far you still have to go.

Writing down the seven steps to the getting the goal you want is a very powerful statement of intention to do on this night.

If you do any ritual tonight, it is should be a letting go ritual. Banishment and release.

One idea: bathe with a candle burning. Focus on the flame in meditation, deep in the water and ask you soul what it is you need.

Good time to also to burn some myrrh incense, symbolising the death of the old phase and entering the new cycle.

New Moon in Taurus. Connect to the potential, opportunity and prosperity. Release and clean up. Clean the house, clear the emotional debris and get ready for new cycle.
