Better than the devil you know

Sometimes it's better to make and act on difficult decisions, even though it's hard, then have others make it for you. I learned this lesson last year. In-action and panic rendered me useless and so the Universe culled for me. It made swift and ruthless moves that wiped out staff and clients.

Today Gandalf and I did what we had to do. Hard sure, but better than not doing anything. Do something. Show the Universe you are committed to positive change.There is an old saying- Take a step towards God and God will take 10 steps towards you.

Fiscal instability is tough. It eats at your soul but it does make you think about what is really important to you. I remind myself of the Victorian Bushfires victims, sleeping in caravans on freezing nights. They have suffered loss of their loved ones, homes, livelihoods and faith. I send them love and light. We all need a faith lift.

This recession has inspired a new way to do business. I have been banging on about the evolution of business recently. My own business, other peoples business, the world of busness. The way we knew it has changed. The rules have changed. People want the best for others and the best for themselves but not with the price tag previously attached from before the GFC.

Purpose and positivity are the order of 2009.

Can we do it? Yes we can!

I can so relate to what you are going through. But take it from one who has been there and survived the turmoil - it is much better to make the decision yourself and not leave it to others. It feels so much better to remain in control of your life and future even if it comes with great sacrifice.

I think the Paul Keating idiom that "this is the Recession we had to have" is even more fitting this time around. I believe from a spiritual and cultural point of view we will all learn alot more this time about ourselves and others. I am confident that we will all care more for each other in business and life and look forward to living and working in a new world.

Keep the faith and stay strong and positive. You definitely can do it.

Minerva, I could NOT agree more. Although it is probably easy for me to say as, to date, while work has quietened I am coping well and the wolf has knocked at the back door.
But! I was only saying to husband the other day that many of the things we're dealing with these days - global warming amongst them - are actually forcing us to stop taking things for granted in this world. I actually wonder if, everytime humanity gets slack and bloated, the powers that be throw out a new challenge to get us thinking about each other and about the basics again. Who knows? What would I know?
Suffice to say though, when the S*$@! hits the fan one cannot always see the bright side and think of others and sometimes - MISS DREAMWEAVER - one needs to sink some bubbles with one's chubby, red dyed friends. XXXX
