Poison apple anyone?

This is about gossip. I love a bit good of gossip.(I blame my cusp being on Gemini.) I never seem to hear anything too salacious and I am mindful of not talking about things that are horrible about other people or dire situations.

I recently heard some gossip about myself. Not particularly nice and the person had taken a horrible set of events for myself and then twisted them around without any of the facts to make me sound like Lady Macbeth. I know this is how people protect themselves. I forgave them. What choice did I have?

There is no point in standing up for myself. It was done. It was destructive and it hinders people spiritual growth. no surprise that the person who spread it is one of the least enlightened, self aware people I know.

While I try at the moment to find the light in my own life, I remind myself that this shows how far some people are and how far I have to go. People who have negativity in their own life feed of other people having hard times.

Schadenfreude is when you take delight in the misery of others. Instead the the spiritually aware show empathy and send love and light.

Gossip shows up in my life when I am having a hard time. The shadows creep across and the dark poison sets in. This is the test you see, if I see it is a spiritual challenge then I can draw the light to myself.

Say no to the apple.

I have been offerred (actually forced to eat) the poison apple last week. A bad witch, disguised as a "normal" person has shown their true colours, and it has been very disconcerting to say the least. I keep telling myself that the "poison" is owned by this person, but hard to dodge the barbs and bullets when they are directed at you. In this case they were directed at my Picses son, so unfortunately (or fortunately) I found myself in "Mother Lion" mode to protect my cub. It got nasty, but hey, sometimes ya just have to bite back. Not very spiritual, but the law of the jungle sometimes over-rides everything. I am trying to move forward, or move away from this person, yet they often persue you for their own end.
I have good friends, they circled around me to protect me. That was the good part of the week.
Love and light and less apples for all. xxoo

Ugh, sounds foul. An old friend used to say to me whether you choose to talk about other people or ideas and ideals reflects as much about your intelligence as your character.

My defense is to try to avoid, which is why i avoid NW, Famous and those other creepy low-vibe magazines. Unless it makes me laugh, learn or feel better about myself, it's not worth it!

And anyone picking on you, DW, says more about them than you...

Apples always give me a tummy ache - nasty things.
