They danced by the light of the moon

No sleep, dogs barking, crazy dreams reliving my pitch and the sound of rain knowing there was 3 loads of washing on the line. 'Nerds!' as Liz Lemon would say.

Yesterday went well, from our perspective, the audience didn't seem to hate it or us. We did our very best and I was proud of us all. Whatever the outcome, I have no regrets. We wanted to bring creatvity onto all parts of the presentation, and that we did, we think. This client is more than just a chalk and talk, powerpoint usual suspect. They have a stylish and smart Director, a young gun Manager who looks like she does not suffer fools and the company has a strong culture. Be strong, be bold and be yourself was the mantra for the day.

When we all loaded back into the car yesterday we breathed a sigh of relief and a sigh of satisfaction. We did our best and that what matters. It bonded us with the new Scorp, whose considered answers while under the spotlight showed great principle and class and validated our decision to employ her.

It is hard to not sound like a dick when you say, 'we are bloody good' but we are! I do not know anyone who has the commitment to his company and his clients the way Gandalf has. He is exceptional and all our clients love him. I watch him and the team just take things in hand and make it happen.

I wanted to tell them about the 4 days spent in Tasmania finishing a job because the interior designer lost the plot and left it to others to do her job. So there he was filling fridges, cleaning benches and folding cocktail napkins, hanging signs and covering the designers arse because she knew she had just had a baby and was not coping. That's what he's like, kind and action focussed. No ego just do the job and get the outcome for the client. This is who we are.  I know we can do it, I know we are the real deal. I hope they saw that.

Now I let go. We have done what we can. The rest is up to them and whatever the outcome, I am proud of us.
