Philosophy of love
A sad day for loved friends who are doing the unthinkable today. Always awful to have rain at a funeral. "Think of the garden" my Mother says. Rain and sunshine, the two sides of the coin I guess. The tears are there because once there was such delight and laughter.
Funerals are awful things, doesn't matter what you say to try and convince me otherwise. I have had my fair share, some have more death in their lives earlier than other. I am one of them. I blame my Moon in the 8th house. Death and transformation and all that jazz.
Today is Gandalf and my wedding anniversary. 14 years and still strong. I am grateful for his love and for the friendship we have. He is my best friend and lover. It is a wonderful thing to have him in my life. I don't know what it would be life without him. Just before I met him, I had a friend pass away. I think about the Virginia Woolf quote - The dead bring you gifts.
I think she bought him to me. He had a dream when we met, about a girl who rowed him across stormy oceans to me waiting on the shore. When he described the girl, it was my friends down to a tee.
I hope my dear friend, who will be mourning at the funeral today, gets someone nice sent to her from her loved one who has passed over.
Stay dry in the rain, my friends.
