Practical Magic

Crazy heat fuelled dreams.  Always hard to sleep on hot nights and I seriously think the warm air boils the brain fluid and then the dreams start.

Meanwhile we are in the dark moon period. I am still holding Fishgirl hostage till I feel she is ready to face the world and we are having a right old spiritual time. Talking all things astro, sabian and general whackyness.

It's good to share this with someone else. She is wise and together we laugh at our continual random conversations about all thing esoteric.

I find being with her inspiring. She makes me want to write better, do better, open my mind and be more accountable. It is good. Fishgirl has connected me to my Spirit again, which seemed to go off travelling for a while.

I think we were sisters in a past life. The ease of her being in our home, has us all so comfortable, even the kids don't want her to go, although I am so thrilled she is moving close by and into her own magical home.

Here's a few things I've learned in life: always throw salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for good luck, and fall in love whenever you can.

Ha! Freudian slip, I almost wrote Holy Mother of Odd =)

Fishgirl is leaving the building now...safely fixed up from 24 hour care from a red cross nurse / good soul called Dreamweaver, some magical spells that worked in the blink of an eye, 9 nights of home-cooked meals and cotton-wool sleep in the guest room, a loving and lovely family, morning dream recaps and two dogs that should be cartoon characters.
The dead really do bring us gifts, as you said DW.
But I'll be just down the road! A whole new cycle of spells and magic and life awaits.
