What to do?

The question is everyday, do I read or do I write?

I could read all day, I have so much to learn and yet I have so so many stories to tell.

A book sits on my desk, daring me, egging me on to pick it up but I deny myself. The beach is also calling my name. I long for the water but I have work to do and I must obey.

First things first though. I was surrounded by mess and clutter, the pitfalls of living in one room with airconditioning due to this unexpected and unwelcome heatwave in Melbourne. Once this was organised only then could I sit and ponder, trying to ignore the book and continue with my task.

I am easily distracted at the beginnning of a project but once I start then I am easily lost in its structure. I will look at the clock and suddenly I am late for my next duty. My life seems to be made up of duties, most mothers are. I don't mind some of them, some I loathe.

I am hopeful for inspiration, I am hopeful for change soon and hopeful I can ignore the book on my desk.
