And so it goes

I am never one to quote Billy Joel. Not a fan, but this phrase "And so it goes" popped into my head this afternoon, I googled it and Billys name popped up. The one line in his song that resonates with me is "My silence is my self defence."

Sometimes silence is the only answer. Maybe Billy is a closet Buddhist.

We have all been faced with rumours, gossip and speculation and what I give in return silence. Nothing I say will sway anything, people have already made their ruling before they try to even work through the facts. Human Nature I guess (not a fan of them either). And so it goes.

I think about things that bother me. There are a few that are out of my control, a few people I worry about, mostly though I am learning to let it go. And so it goes.

It's Sunday night. I am feeling nostaligic. Peace was made with an old friend today after 7 years of  silence. A 20 year anniversary tomorrow of a friendship that passed over into the astral. Head out to the cemetery for a shout out and then onto lunch with Mrs Underhill. Old friends, new friends. The cycle continues.

And so it goes.
