Goddess of abundance

My weekend was spent in lush abundance, yet I rarely opened my purse.

Time spent with Fishgirl, playing house and marvelling at her gorgeous new pad.

A lovely afternoon party with friends, babies and champagne, a perfect coffee made at home. Moving plants in my own backyard and using cutting to create more lushness in the garden. A visit en famille to the local library to search for a book that avoids me in bookshops. A long walk with Ritos and Gandalf, freestyling and snooping on other peoples houses. Cooking, eating, laughing.

Sleep, rain, love. It's all free.

I am grateful that I recognize these moments, in fact I seek them out now. These are the cracks of light in between the yucky dark clouds that come with this thing called life.

The key is to create as many of these moments for yourself and not rely on others to give them to you. The more you know yourself the easier it is to find these glimpses of happiness and run like hell with them.

For a while I forgot I was in charge of these times in my life. I remember now. 'Captain of my soul' kinda stuff.

Now I am back at the wheel. The choices I have made have eased my life in many ways and improved them. I took my Pisces Son out of a ridiculously expensive school and sent him to the local school. He is happier than he has ever been. It was a hard choice but the best one. His confidence has grown, his education is better than anything he received before and there is real love in the classroom. When I wave at the mums at school, there is is this fabulous knowing that we are special, we are lucky and it is free.

I clean my own house, I do a better job than the cleaning lady did. I like zenning my space. I clean my office. Again, same reasoning.

I shop in my wardrobe again. I have so many nice things, I forget to wear them. I have sold what I don't want, need or like.

I borrow books from the library, no longer buy them. I say no to things I can longer afford. Dinners, theatre etc. I figure that if people want to see me they will invite me over or come to my house. If not, then I don't want to see them anyway. Friendships are free.

This blog is free, my writing is freeing, my soul sings with freedom.

Find your freedom, it is in your life, within your reach and waiting for you.

I sooooo needed this blog today. It is like you read my mind, I have spent the morning asking the Universe for help to re-connect with the "little things" life has to offer. Same boat, different canoe, also heading upstream. =)
Didn't know how I was going to make it through this week. Sold some things online, made it all stretch, accepted the generosity of others. It's how I roll right now. I pacify myself with "next year will be amazing". This yr is the preparation, the field work, the ploughing and the fertilizing.
A friend and I at work enjoy laughing about people who have this ability to be present and positive in every moment, even when it's raining s*it. People that can turn any dark and dismal situation into an absolute dream. We joke that a person like that would be praising the powers even if it was raining crap so that everything could be fertilized and grow thick lush and green crops.
With the amount of fertilizer I've had this year, my crop is going to be AMAZING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
