Acceptance Tree

True acceptance comes when you understand that what has been cannot be changed. Hard for most of us. Hard for me. I tend to pop my past goggles on and try to see what I could have done differently to get a different outcome from what is happening now.

Acceptance is a form of self discipline and many of us find self discipline, in any form hard to bear. Not accepting what has been, means we are taking energy that could be used for good in our lives and using it as a block instead. We create barriers from it that stops the fruits that comes with change from dropping in our lives.

What to do?

Everytime the thoughts come into my head today about what might have been or what I should have done, I will remind myself that I accept what I cannot change.

A few pointers for radical acceptance:

Be kind to yourself - Be as gentle as you would to a loved one who has experienced recent catastrophic change.

Praise yourself - Write down the things you are proud of yourself that you have been able to do through this period of disharmony.

Accept yourself - Tell that voice of judgement to shut the hell up!

Support yourself - Get a good network around you - friends, therapist, whomever makes you feel better.

Forgive - Yourself, other people. Compassion is healing.

Help others -  Try to be there for others as well. The world keeps turning and everyone is fighting their own great battles.

Take care of yourself -  Look after your mind and body. Meditate. Set an amount that you want to walk everyday. Eat nourishing food, sleep.

Hey, I don't have the answers, never said I did. I just get the information and pass it on and some of it, usually all of it is relevant to me and my life.

It's a global consciousness we live in. ask for the healing. Ask the Universe - What would you have me do now?

Wait like the tree does for rain and when it comes,  drink like you have never drunk before.
