The Outsiders

Still on the idea of following and exploring the Twelve Principles of the Golden Dawn, this weeks gem is Find outcast communities and acquire outsider philosophies that support your belief in personal power.

Many years ago I listend to a CD of Wayne Dyer, where he discussed the tribe mentality. He said, that he "left the tribe long ago" and as result he no longer gives a flying hoot about what people think if him and what he does.

This was the first step I took when I started my own spiritual journey. To give myself permission to leave the tribe and start my own personal power party. The problem with this approach was though, that I was lonely. There were few people I could discuss my journey with and my beliefs and new found magic in my life.

I created a friendship stick which I waved at a full moon one night and asked for more likeminded people in my life. Wonderfully, my beloved Blessed Seraph and the Piscean Princess came out of the pagan closet and there we were three. Then the divine Fishgirl came down the internet and our connection was borne and then the Joyous Squaw and more and more spiritually minded peple. The list contines to grow with wonderful, spooky women in my life.

I have had to really learn to be strong an stand by my beliefs and trust the, I hve explored every concept known to man and then some more. Blessed, the Piscean Princess and I have been to healings, Gnostic worshipping, Spiritualist churches and past life workshops. We walked away with what we needed and then kept adding to our own repoitoire of personal power. It has been a pleasure and an honour and still it continues.

It is good to be the outsider in life. People question you less and less over time, as you are living by the beat of your own drum. When you do something that the "tribe" consider odd, there is less of an impact and people forget about you enough for you to be able to keep on hanging with the gypsies on the edge of the town.

Remember the gypsies on the edge of town always have more fun anyway.

Trust.
