Last thoughts on the Golden Dawn

I am finishing the final thoughts of the Twelve Principle of the Golden Dawn, which I discussed in a post way back in January of this year.

The final points are -

*Periodically center and renew your connection with Spirit through cyclic and seasonal rituals, initiations, and rites of passage.

When we connect to the natural order we automatically out ourselves into the flow. You can do this by eating seasonal foods. If local broccoli ain't in stores and only the sad stalks from South America then dont eat it. Eat fresh and local. You can also connect to the flow by working with the cycles of the moon, which I discuss in my book. (Shameless plug goes here!)

The affects of the moon have bee accepted by gardeners for eons but mostly we refuse to look at its afect on our own human lives. Yet we are made up of nearly 60% water. The moon affects the seas tides, so why not our own physical tides?

Start new projects on a new moon cycle, work hard tll the full moon, do something significant on the nght or day of the moon at it's height then rest during a waning moon. Easy huh? Well it's not alwasy easy to do when we work for others but easy enough for our own personal projects.

The rites of passage is personal. Religion offers them but if not religious then you can embrace marriage, changing your opinions to other than that which was forced upon you as a child, birth and even death. Celebrate and honour these moments. Create your on initiations and rewards.

*Use will, imagination and desire (i.e., magick) to transcend the limits of normal experience.

At the risk of sounding like The Secret, I truly believe that what you focus you attention on, positive or negative, comes to fruition. I also believe, through my own experience that desiring something at a cellular level, with the right intention attached will bring magic into your life. You are the magician and you have the power to pull a rabbit out of your own hat.

I have recently been working on a project that literally jumped into my hat and I am close to pulling out a happy rabbit, if all things go well.The desire which I attached to this was not familiar and when I looked into the history of my wanting, I realised I have only had this feeling before a few times in my life. When I met Gandalf and wanted to marry him and when my body told me it was time to have children.

The desire for this project to work was the same as the times I mentioned. The desire was about creating. To create a future with someone, to create life and now to create a path for myself. It is a bewitching state to be in and I hope you have that in your life also either now or then.

Life throws us some shit to deal with sometimes and I don't know anyone who hasn't had to duck in their lifetime. Whatever we do, wherever we go, there is the good times and the bad and our goal is to learn and move on and try to avoid the crap when it is flying around.

Stay in the flow, the waters will take you further than you ever imagined if you stick to the current and stop fighting the waves. You will need you strength when you get to where you were meant to be, so dont waste it fighting against what was Meant to be.
