Down the rabbit hole
Dreams about my beloved grandmother, who always had an afternoon tea laid out for us grandkids, when we visited. Little cakes and sandwiches cut into triangles. Something sweet for the girls and savoury for the boys. A little packet of pencils and colouring book or a Matchbox car came with and a Furry Friends chocolate bar.
I miss her.
Last night I dreamed it was my turn to make the afternoon tea and I laid it all out with instructions from my deceased grandfather about the extra leaf for the table. I was in her house and it was good. I thought I was running out of time but when I looked at my watch, I had plenty of time. I wore and apron and a smile.
Waking up early, 5.52am to be exact, I decided to get up. If I had fallen back to sleep then I knew I would have a had a nasty sleep hangover. It is amazing what I was able to complete in the time for the rest of my house rose.
I am fascinated with sleep at the moment. I have noticed when I don't get enough then my depression threatens to come back, so it's an easy choice, I must get more sleep. No sleep = down the rabbit hole again.
