Feel the room
Like a good actor on stage, you must connect to the energy of your audience. Spend some time at the beginning of a meeting to feel the room. Is it tense? Competitive? Welcoming? Intuiting the energy in the room allows you to protect yourself or inspire the room with your brilliance.
